TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

TabTrade — The Short Version

Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.

The Software

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after comparing.

FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.

Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

This is the detail that matters. TabTrade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should factor into how you think about it.

The deal: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
